Throughout history, governments, companies and wealthy individuals have been able to remove or deny people access to land on which they depend for their survival in a struggle of unequal powers.

However, when like minded people come together to form pressure groups, they become more powerful and are often able to take action to effect positive change.

Activity 4.1

This explores the role of pressure groups in society, and the different types of action used in order to attempt to bring about positive change.

This encourages students to consider the various courses of action available to them to help bring about change on an issue which they have learned about within this resource.

Activity 4.3

This encourages students to reflect on the issues they have learned about throughout this resource, and to consider what their vision for land is in the future. This activity enables students to consolidate their learning and provides a useful source of evidence of learning.
